January Wrap-Up

So January is over, eh?  Oh dear...  Well things happened. And other things didn't.

I'll start with what I did reading-wise this January.  Most of my books were on my RockMyTBR list (i.e. books I already had).  I didn't get through everything I wanted to, but that's life.

I did read a total of seven books toward my TBR and one review book.

In other news, I finished a many'th round of Iron Curse.  I'm currently 25k into my next WIP: Spy Project.

So now for the haul...

I had these two pre-ordered.  I was so excited to get in Passenger, but I'm still only on page 40 or something.  I've gotten so busy with writing, and I have another few review books I have to get out.  But I'll be getting back to it soon!

So I actually bought this after listening to the audiobook of Poison Study.  I also ordered Magic Study, which never came in.  It also kind of bothered me that there was a difference in the covers, so I decided to cancel my Amazon order and find the matching cover used online.  hopefully i'll get that one soon.

And this was my impromptu bookhaul from Saturday night when I decided randomly to head to B&N.  They had a few books that haven't been released yet!  Unfortunately, I am poor and had to pick and choose which ones I wanted.  I also ended up buying Stardust by Neil Gaiman.  I recently read Neverwhere and loved it.  So hopefully I like this one as much.

Now as for my February... I have a few goals.  My goal for my writing is to finish a first draft of Spy Project.  I also need to read In Real Life, Into the Dim, and The Serpent King, all from NetGalley.  After that I plan to finish reading Passenger.

Don't forget I have two giveaways going on for my blogaversary (which happened in January!) going on over here.

How was your month?

  1. Sounds like a good reading month! Even though life gets in the way, hopefully in February you'll be able to read more from your TBR <3 I'm hoping to read Passenger because while I didn't pre-order I am dying to read it! Also Truthwitch looks amazing *grabby hands* Good luck on your goals, one of mine is to hit 25K in my WIP so we'll have to see!

  2. That's awesome that you've been writing so much! And I think you'll enjoy Stardust. It's very fairy tale esque.

  3. I hope you get around to Passenger--I really enjoyed that one when I read it late last year.
Truthwitch is on my TBR this month, I'm excited to see what all they hype is about!
    Happy reading!
