Monthly Giveaway Hint

So I managed to forget to update my giveaway page, but I'm doing that right now as I post this. So not to worry, it will be updated within the next... five minutes.

In case you forgot, my monthly giveaway is over this way here. This month is extra special, because I have TWO giveaways going on. One for international, and one for domestic US! Because I love you guys so much!

The international giveaway is for a book up to $25 on Book Depository, and the US is for the July Shelflove Crate box. July's theme is Shakespeare's Mystery Town. I have absolutely no idea what the  book will be, but I've been kind of out of touch lately, so if you have an idea, let me know!

So as you probably are already aware, to enter my monthly giveaways, you must tell me what the first line I give you is from. This month's book, the quote is....

The Sorcerer arrived on a Saturday.

In case you don't know what it is and don't want to just google it (lol), here's a hint.

This book was the author's debut novel last year. The second book in the series releases later this year. It's a fantasy that takes place in Victorian times London, and it has a very Lovecraftian feel to it.

Hope that helps! Have an awesome day, guys :D

When Book Slumps Get You Down

Suppose you're having a great reading year. You're way ahead on your goodreads goal, and then suddenly...

BAM!

Reading slump. Don't you just hate that? I know I do.

Recently, I've been kind of in a reading slump. Though, it's more like a life slump. I just don't feel like doing anything

I read a chapter and just feel bleh. I watch tv and movies to the same outcome. I don't feel like writing or editing (to be fair I never feel like editing). This feeling? It kind of really sucks. I want to do things, but I'm just not in the mood.

All I really want to do is listen to music. Which is fine. It's mostly all I've been doing aside from the monotony of work. But I've been SO UNPRODUCTIVE as of late.

Then we're left with this feeling of uselessness, and we constantly wonder how to get out of the slump, which just makes it worse.

Yes, reading slumps suck. But I plan on totally embracing this one. I'll let it play its course, and hopefully it will just go away on its own if I don't try to force myself into anything. I want to be nice and refreshed for whenever it's gone.

Audiobook Review: Ruins

Title: Ruins
Author: Dan Wells
Publisher: Balzer + Bray

Kira, Samm, and Marcus fight to prevent a final war between Partials and humans in the gripping final installment in the Partials Sequence, a series that combines the thrilling action of The Hunger Games with the provocative themes of Blade Runner and The Stand.

There is no avoiding it—the war to decide the fate of both humans and Partials is at hand. Both sides hold in their possession a weapon that could destroy the other, and Kira Walker has precious little time to prevent that from happening. She has one chance to save both species and the world with them, but it will only come at great personal cost.
