March Wrap-Up

But how can March be over already??

I know, I kind of slowed down in blogging momentum near the end of the month, but there is a reason for that.

As I've mentioned before (at least I think I have), I'll be taking April off from reading. So I'm writing as many reviews and posts ahead of time to last through the month.

Sooooo.... what happened this month?

So, in case you missed it, the March Giveaway ended and the winner is Lauren at My Expanding Bookshelf

I've emailed you. Please email me back within 48 hours. The March book of the month, which I took the first line from for the giveaway was Rebel of the Sands, by Alwyn Hamilton. Congrats on winning a free audiobook form audible!

Blogging Things

Not much really happened. I read fourteen books, including audiobooks and one DNF (very late in the book too). So that's not too shabby. In case you missed it, I posted reviews for these:

I also, for the first and only time in many months, did a Waiting on Wednesday post.

I'm wanting to start a feature of a weekly interview. I love doing interviews! But if this happens, it'll be a long way off.

Life Things

I have some health answers and more health questions. Such is life.

Instagram Things

I got throwing knives in. Yes, I ordered throwing knives, because I want to learn. I still need a target though, so I'm currently just using them for props.  Here are two of my more recent photos from this month.

If you're on instagram, let me know your username! I'm constantly on the search for more bookish accounts to follow.  I try to post at least once a day, though I usually post more.

So when her father loses his fortune and moves Yeva and her sisters back to the outskirts of town, Yeva is secretly relieved. Out in the wilderness, there’s no pressure to make idle chatter with vapid baronessas…or to submit to marrying a wealthy gentleman. Deaf to her sisters’ protests, Yeva hunts this strange Beast back into his own territory—a cursed valley, a ruined castle, and a world of creatures that Yeva’s only heard about in fairy tales. A world that can bring her ruin or salvation. Who will survive: the Beauty, or the Beast?

March Giveaway

Happy March everyone!

I cannot believe everything has snuck up on us so quickly, and I'm sitting here wondering how in the world I'm going to get all the things done on time.

Anyway, it's a new month and time for a new giveaway.

This month, I've decided to give away any one book on Audible. So yep! You get a free audiobook!

The only thing I ask is that you are able to redeem a gift from audible.com (the US site). You don't have to be US-based, just able to redeem from a gift from the US site, because that's where my membership is, so that's where it will be coming from. If you're international and there's a book that's not on your site, this is a great chance to try and get it!

And of course the usual: no giveaway accounts, no private accounts, etc.

Before
Mira Minkoba is the Hopebearer. Since the day she was born, she’s been told she’s special. Important. Perfect. She’s known across the Fallen Isles not just for her beauty, but for the Mira Treaty named after her, a peace agreement which united the seven islands against their enemies on the mainland.
But Mira has never felt as perfect as everyone says. She counts compulsively. She struggles with crippling anxiety. And she’s far too interested in dragons for a girl of her station.
After
Then Mira discovers an explosive secret that challenges everything she and the Treaty stand for. Betrayed by the very people she spent her life serving, Mira is sentenced to the Pit–the deadliest prison in the Fallen Isles. There, a cruel guard would do anything to discover the secret she would die to protect.
No longer beholden to those who betrayed her, Mira must learn to survive on her own and unearth the dark truths about the Fallen Isles–and herself–before her very world begins to collapse.
Jodi Meadows’s new Fallen Isles series blazes with endangered magic, slow-burn romance, and inner fire.
