Top Ten Tuesday
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This week's top ten theme is top ten favorite authors of all time. A real toughy!
Why do I love these particular authors so much? Well I guess you'll just have to read some of their books to find out. I have found that there are a number of new authors that I just love as well. But I couldn't put them on my list as they only have one book out. This list encompasses authors who have written at least two books (which I have read) and I would love to read anything that they write. So in no particular order....
- Holly Black - author of The Darkest Part of the Forest, A Modern Faerie Tale series, The Coldest Girl in Coldtown
- John Green - author of The Fault in our Stars, Paper Towns, Looking for Alaska, co-author of Will Grayson, Will Grayson
- Alexandra Bracken - author of The Darkest Minds series
- Sarah J. Maas - author of Throne of Glass series and the upcoming A Court of Thorns and Roses
- George R.R. Martin - author if A Song of Ice and Fire, the books on which Game of Thrones on HBO is based
- Jane Austen - author of such classics and Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility
- Douglas Adams - author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy"
- J.R.R. Tolkien - author of The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Smith of Wootton Major & Farmer Giless of Ham, The Silmarillion
- Rae Carson - author of The Girl of Fire and Thorns series and the upcoming Walk on Earth a Stranger
- Marie Lu - author of Legend series and the new Young Elites series
The common theme with most of these authors (most I say, not all) is that they write fantasy or science fiction. Who are your top ten favorite authors?

Maas made it onto my own list, I absolutely love her. I considered putting Martin on there, too, but he just didn't make the cut. I guess I can never forgive him for a few of those character deaths... :) Also love Black and Carson, they're amazing.
